PARK HAMLIN APARTMENTS
Clement Walsh Landscape Architect, Inc. was engaged to develop a comprehensive landscape design for an apartment complex, focusing on developing a common outdoor area that met the needs of both residents and property management. Initially, the design included a dog park but after gathering input from residents during meetings with the property manager and owner, we revised the plan to incorporate a community garden. The updated design, featuring fruit trees, raised vegetable beds, and basalt slab seating, appealed to a wider audience and offered a more multi-space than a dog park. The community garden was designed to be ADA accessible, ensuring that all residents could enjoy the space and engage in gardening activities. Throughout the project, we were actively involved in material selection and the value engineering (VE) process to ensure that the project stayed within budget while achieving the desired design outcomes. To bring the design to life, we obtained contractor bids and provided construction observation services to ensure that the installation was executed according to our plans and met the highest standards of quality. |
