Queen Anne Residence Designed to provide a unified landscape between a newly-constructed guest house and the homeowner’s adjacent 1924 Seattle home, the planting consists of: Deciduous and evergreen trees, shrubs, Rhododendrons, grasses, climbers, bulbs, perennials, ground covers, herbs, ferns and vegetables. Pavillion A small backyard with a significant sloping embankment, the design here required the use of retaining walls to push back the slope, with the goal of gaining a pavilion and lawn area. West Linn English Garden An English style garden was designed using a series of gravel and flagstone paths. The flower beds themselves were planted with a variety of colorful perennials that will attract hummingbirds, butterflies and bees. A combination of evergreen and herbaceous plants were used to create year-long interest. New wood pergolas help define the main path. Click here for more details and images. |

Canby Residence In Canby OR, the design allowed for creating a seating patio, level lawn and terrace slope. The hardscape included Columbia Slate patio pavers, dry-stack basalt stone retaining wall, adding a fire pit and variegated bluestone pavers. Click here for more details and images. |
