Clement Walsh Landscape Architect, Inc. was hired by the Multnomah Neighborhood Association to develop a Master Plan for Village Park. The project aims to create a versatile and dynamic public space that accommodates a wide range of activities, from musical concerts to food truck parking, serving the Multnomah Village community. The park’s design incorporates sustainable practices, emphasizing native planting to reduce maintenance and enhance biodiversity. The plan prioritizes minimizing rainwater runoff by reducing hardscape surfaces and improving soil quality. The selected plantings are designed to require no additional irrigation beyond the initial establishment period. Key stakeholders in the project include the Multnomah Neighborhood Association, Multnomah Village Business Association, Stormwater Stars, and Westside Watersheds.
