A single-family residence located in Happy Valley, OR. This yard was overlooked and did not allow for adequate circulation. It had basic retaining walls and an unused lower deck. To enable the best use of space for this family, the garden was designed to accommodate yard grade changes by incorporating basalt stone retaining walls and organic placement of basalt boulders, while also creating a paver patio and paver paths. Planting consists of deciduous and evergreen trees, espalier fruit trees, shrubs, herbs, perennials, ground covers, ferns, climber and bulbs.
